Leaving a Group
If you want to leave a group, what happens depends on whether you've paid an entry fee in an active season:
No Active Entry Fee
If you haven't paid an entry fee in the current active season, you can leave immediately:
- Go to Settings â Group Management
- Click "Leave Group" at the bottom of the group card
- Confirm your decision â you'll be removed straight away
Active Entry Fee Paid
If you've paid an entry fee in an active season, you'll need admin approval:
- Click "Leave Group" â you'll be told a leave request is required
- Submit a Leave Request with an optional reason
- Your Group Admin will see the request in Group Management and on their homepage
- The admin will approve or reject your request, choosing to either refund your entry fee or keep it in the prize pot
- Once approved, you'll be removed from the group
đ Note: You can cancel a pending leave request at any time before the admin makes a decision.
Your predictions are preserved even after leaving.
Admin: Managing Leave Requests
When a member submits a leave request, group admins will see a notification:
- On the Homepage â a red alert card showing who wants to leave
- In Group Management â under "Pending Leave Requests" within the Admin Tools section
For each request you can:
- Keep Fee â Approve the request and keep the entry fee in the prize pot
- Refund â Approve the request and mark the fee as refunded (you'll need to arrange the actual refund separately)
- Reject â Decline the request; the member stays in the group
Closing a Group
Group admins can request to permanently close a group. This uses a 7-day voting process to ensure all members agree:
- Go to Settings â Group Management
- Click the "Close Group" button in your admin actions
- Enter an optional reason and confirm
- All group members are notified and have 7 days to vote
- Members can vote Accept or Reject from their homepage or Group Management
â ī¸ Important:
- If any member rejects, the closure is cancelled immediately
- If no one objects after 7 days (silence = consent), the group closes automatically
- The admin who requested closure is automatically counted as "accept"
- The requesting admin can cancel their closure request at any time
- When a group closes, all memberships, settings, and entry fee records are removed, and the group is marked inactive
Deleting Your Account
You can permanently delete your account from Settings â User Profile:
- Open the User Profile section in Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and expand "Delete My Account"
- Enter a reason (optional), tick the confirmation checkbox, and click "Permanently Delete"
What happens next depends on your group memberships:
- Not in any active paid groups â your account is deleted immediately
- Admin of a group with other members â you must transfer admin rights to another member first (use the "Transfer Admin" button in Group Management)
- In active groups with paid entry fees â a leave request is created for each group. Once every group admin has resolved your request, your account is automatically deleted
â ī¸ Warning: Account deletion is permanent. All your predictions, group memberships, and personal data will be removed and cannot be recovered.
Admin: Transfer Admin Rights
If you need to hand over admin responsibilities before leaving or deleting your account:
- Go to Settings â Group Management
- Click "Transfer Admin" in the admin actions for your group
- Select the member you want to make the new admin
- They'll receive a notification to accept or decline the transfer
